This badge helps girls understand the complexities of the Earth's atmosphere, track daily weather patterns, and learn how to safely prepare for severe weather conditions. 

Pioneer & Patriot (Grades 7-12)

• Track a major weather event (like a hurricane or severe winter storm) using historical or real-time data, plotting its path and impact.
• Learn how to read and interpret a professional weather map, identifying high and low-pressure systems, cold/warm fronts, and dew points.
• Explain the difference between weather and climate, and research how geographical features (like mountains or oceans) affect local micro-climates.
• Research careers in meteorology, climatology, or emergency management.
